St. Patrick's Day

I don't know if you heard...but the Kindergarten classroom came back after Art class on Friday, March 15, 2013 to something surprising.  We came to the conclusion from the little green footprints, gold glitter, and handwriting that we had a LEPRECHAUN visit our classroom while we were gone.  After lunch and recess we came back to find another note and our seats switched around!

After finding our seats were switched around we found our new seats and sat down for a St. Patrick's Day project where we made Leprechaun puppets and then read a story.

At the end of our CRAZY day we sat down and enjoyed a leprechaun treat from one of our classmates!

To continue the St. Patrick's day celebration we had a special guest come to demonstrate some Irish dancing with some pretty interesting facts on Monday, March 16th! Our guest demonstrated some Irish Dance moves and told us some history about the dance.
Did you know Irish dancers do not use their arms because a long time ago dancing was not allowed between boys and girls, so when they were dancing in the house if they did not move their arms, people passing by would not know they were really dancing!

The Kindergarten Class Goes to Brazil!

Kindergarten Families

With Cabaret practices and preparation I have been behind about uploading some AWESOME classroom pictures.  So here is a little taste of what we have been up to the last few weeks! :)

The Kindergarten class just arrived back from traveling the world to Brazil! In Brazil we learned about different animals, the temperature, the extravagant costumes with sequins, glitter and colors in The Rio Brazil Carnival!

The students with their passports and Carnival masks.
They really enjoyed our Travel Around the World unit!
