Champlain School Performance

Thursday, February 21, 2013 Christ the King School had the privilege to watch Champlain School perform song and dance in honor of Black History Month.  Champlain School students and staff did a wonderful job depicting what is was like as an African-American during this time.  The Kindergarten class was excited to see/hear about Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks
both who we learned about.

Catholic Schools Week-Pajama Day!

Catholic Schools Week was a blast! The students had so much fun with the different activities throughout the week!  I had to take and share a picture of all of them in their pajamas because they are too cute and silly!

HAPPY PAJAMA DAY!

The 100th Day of School! :)

Happy 100 days of school, the Kindergarten class is officially 100 days smarter! :) We read some 100 day books, counted by 2's, 5's and 10's to 100 and enjoyed a yummy snack! Thank you to everyone for participating and helping us make this successful! :)

Goodbye Mrs. Stoner, We Will Miss You!

After a messy Sci-Fri experiment we had a going away party for Mrs. Stoner. Robin brought us in a yummy treat to enjoy on our Friday afternoon.

All of the students looking at the yummy treat! :)

Enjoying our treat! :)

Thank you for everything Mrs. Stoner, we will miss you!
What was left of our yummy treat! :)

Sci-Fri Experiment Ooblek (Again!)

So with every experiment there are some trial runs that go good and bad! I wanted to do the Ooblek experiment again so the students would be able to experience it with MORE cornstarch and less water. So today we made Ooblek again, but used MORE cornstarch and got a much different reaction, from the Ooblek and the students!
I explained to the students about a Non-Newtonian fluid and then we got our hands dirty.
